A Warm Thanksgiving Message to Our Families

As we celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to share our appreciation for all the wonderful families in our Edna Child Care community. This season is a special time to slow down, make memories, and enjoy simple moments of joy with your little ones.

Thanksgiving is more than a holiday — it’s a chance to create traditions that your children will remember for years to come. Here are a few fun and meaningful activities families can do together this week:

Family Gratitude Jar
Create a small jar where each family member can write something they’re thankful for. Little ones can draw pictures instead of writing. At the end of the day, read them together as a family!

Kid-Friendly Cooking
Let your child help with simple, safe tasks in the kitchen — stirring, pouring, or choosing ingredients. Children love being part of meal prep, and it helps build confidence and independence.

Nature Walk Adventure
Bundle up and take a walk outside! Collect colorful leaves, pinecones, or small sticks. Once home, kids can use these items to make a nature collage or a fall-themed craft.

Storytime Tradition
Choose a favorite cozy book and read together. You can even start a yearly tradition by picking a “Thanksgiving Story of the Year” to read as a family.

Family Game Time
Pull out a puzzle, a simple board game, or even play “I Spy” around the house. These moments build connection and strengthen family bonds.

At Edna Child Care, we are grateful for the trust you place in us and the joy your children bring to our classrooms every day. We hope your Thanksgiving is filled with love, laughter, and moments that warm your heart.

Wishing you a beautiful holiday season from our family to yours.
